CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO: An abandoned medieval city standing on a precipitous outcrop on the middle of a broad valley and reached only by a narrow footbridge. In Bagnoregio, next to the gate of the old part there is a pizza bar with the best pizza in the area.

The numerous sites that are within an hour’s drive include: Perugia, Sienna, Assissi, Arezzo, Rome and Florence, as well as the small mediavel towns that some of them held their own art or wine festival: Todi, Spoleto, Montefiascone. Other worth visiting nearby places are: Lago di Corbara, Amelia, Pittigliano. Hot water springs can be found in Saturnia and Viterbo, both offering a relaxing and therapeutically healthy experience. Torre Alfina - a small medieval village which his heart is the castle that overlooks the valley around it. The streets are decorated with wall paintings and art works. It's ice cream is known to be one of the very good in the area.
MONTEFIASCONE: Medieval hilltop town, that was for centuries the summer residence of the Popes that enjoyed its favorable climate and very good wine. Cobbled medieval streets lead to the Rocca Dei Papi and its fantastic views. Every year, in the last week of July, there is an Italian film festival. The historic center has small cafes, beautiful view over the Bolsena lake and the valley around it.
Capodimonte and Marta are two small ports on the southern shore of the Bolsena lake with beaches and a marina. At Marta there is a pretty waters edge park, and some good fish restaurants.
One of the most funny, tastiest, enjoyable festival is The Chocolate Festival held in Perugia.
